Saudi Arabia needs to establish a special center for conciliation and arbitration. This proposal was discussed in a lecture session by Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Jarba, an expert of law commission on May 22 at the Asharqia Chamber. Dr Al Jarba placed emphasis on clearly defined procedures and judicial system in order to attract foreign companies to the Kingdom.
Mr. Abdulrahman Rashed Al Rashed, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, focused on the new system of arbitration which, he said, should be compatible with the international trade systems and based on the Islamic laws. He also discussed various aspects of the new arbitration system. Chamber's Secretary General, Mr. Abdulrahman A. Al Wabel and Commission lawyers chairman in the chamber,Khalid A. Al Saleh were present on the occasion.
